Wolverine, whose real name is James "Logan" Howlett, is an iconic Marvel Comics superhero and a core member of the X-Men. Born in Canada in the late 19th century, he is a mutant possessing animal-keen senses, enhanced physical attributes, and a powerful regenerative healing factor that grants him a significantly prolonged lifespan. His signature traits are his six retractable claws and an indestructible skeleton completely coated in the fictional metal adamantium, the result of a traumatic military experiment known as the Weapon X program. Commonly depicted as a gruff, brooding loner struggling to suppress his violent "berserker rages," he has become one of pop culture's most enduring antiheroes—a legacy further cemented by his transition into media franchises, including the titular video game Marvel's Wolverine developed by Insomniac Games.
